Dear Friend,   Cornerstone Family Ministries serves over 28,000 children from families who live at or below the poverty level  each year.  Through our sponsorship of 136 early childhood learning centers these children receive nutritious  meals, early childhood education, and connections to local churches. Your gift this Christmas to Cornerstone’s A Child’s Chance for Change Fund will make it possible for   Cornerstone to provide scholarships to over 100 children ages infant to 4 years old.  They need our help as their bodies and minds are developing and their dreams and  hopes for the future are forming.  We need your help to provide the scholarships offered through this fund that make it possible for children to attend Cornerstone’s Rosa Valdez Early Childhood  Learning Center and Lab School, a Center that has been a beacon of hope since 1892 in one of Tampa’s  poorest and most crime ridden neighborhoods.  Most of the children who attend the Center are from families that  for generations have been dependent on welfare and whose single parents are trying to be the first to break this  cycle by working and attending school to learn a trade or get their degree.  Others attend on a partial subsidy   because they have been a part of the child welfare system and are often being raised by a relative or a foster  parent.  Yet others are from “working poor” families, with a mom and dad struggling to make ends meet, and not  eligible for public assistance.  All are living at or below the poverty level and are at-risk of school failure and  developmental delays.  Keeping our doors open to receive these children is not possible without scholarship  funding.   While in our care, each child receives an accredited early childhood education, regular developmental  assessments, and three nutritious meals a day.  They are cared for by experienced, degreed and credentialed  early childhood educators who love the Lord and want to share the good news of that love with them every day. Please consider helping in any way you can by completing the Christmas gift form below with your gift today Your gift will change a child’s life in 2015! We are grateful for your prayers and support and hope that you and those you love have a blessed Christmas and  New Year!   P.S.  If you are unable to make a monetary gift or want to help in other ways, please consider one of the below ways of helping Cornerstone this Holiday Season as you do your own gift giving: Amazon Smile – Sign up and start making your Amazon orders through Amazon Smile using Cornerstone Family Ministries as your preferred charity (link to instructions) Target – Search Cornerstone’s Wish Lists at and order items on our children’s wish lists for their classrooms (Rosa Needs List) , (Volunteer List), (Rosa Partners)
