44th Annual Wonder Walk Fundraiser
Support a Child's Chance for Change
For the 44th year, nearly 1000 of caring community members in Tampa Bay and across the nation will come together for Cornerstone Family Ministries’ annual Wonder Walk/Run!
This meaningful event is open to everyone – no matter age or ability – and raises scholarship funds that provide life-changing opportunities like quality early childhood education and nutritious food to economically disadvantaged 0-12 year old students at our Rosa Valdez Early Learning Center & Lab Schools. Since 1892, Cornerstone has been a source of hope for local children and families and in response to an ever-growing need, Cornerstone Family Ministries is proud to announce that last year, we opened a new Rosa Valdez Early Learning Center at Oak Grove UMC! This center serves an additional 87 children, more than doubling the need for scholarships to provide educational opportunities. Your support and contributions are essential in securing these chances for success!

Support a Child’s Chance for Change
This hybrid event has been a prayer walk and fundraiser to raise scholarship funds as we pray for over 17,000 babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children served by Cornerstone. The scholarships raised at Wonder Walk provide quality early childhood education, after school camp scholarships for school aged students, nutrition education and three nutritious meals each day to the 0-12 year old economically disadvantaged students attending one of the Rosa Valdez Early Learning Centers and Lab Schools located across Tampa Bay.
Cornerstone has been a beacon of hope for children and families in the Tampa Bay region since 1892 making us one of the oldest ministries in our community. We can only continue with the prayers and support of a generous community. It costs an average of $3,000 to provide a gap scholarship for one child and our goal is to raise at least $150,000 so that we can provide over half of the 200 scholarships needed each year. Each scholarship makes it possible for a child to receive a full-time (5 days a week) quality early childhood education or aftercare and 3 nutritious meals a day so that their parents can work and/or go to school to “earn and learn” their way out of the cycle of poverty.
Our Event
The goal of our 44th Annual Wonder Walk Fundraiser is to raise $150,000 in early learning scholarships for the economically disadvantaged 0-5 yr. old students who attend Rosa Valdez Early Learning Centers. Therefore, this event will include several opportunities for you to give!
