For the 43rd year, hundreds of caring community members in Tampa Bay and across the nation will come together for Cornerstone Family Ministries’ annual Wonder Walk. This meaningful event is open to everyone – no matter age or ability – and raises scholarship funds that provide life-changing opportunities like quality early childhood education and nutritious food to economically disadvantaged 0-5 year old students at three Rosa Valdez Early Learning Center & Lab Schools across Tampa Bay. Since 1892, Cornerstone has been a source of hope for local children and families and in response to an ever-growing need, Cornerstone Family Ministries is proud to announce the opening of their brand new Rosa Valdez Early Learning Center at Oak Grove UMC. This center will serve an additional 87 children, more than doubling the need for scholarships to provide educational opportunities. Your support and contributions are essential in securing these chances for success!

Support a Child's Chance for Change

This hybrid event serves as a prayer walk and fundraiser to raise scholarship funds and pray for over 14,000 babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school aged children served by Cornerstone.  The scholarships  raised at Wonder Walk provide quality early childhood education and nutritious food to the 0-5 year old economically disadvantaged students attending one of three Rosa Valdez Early Learning Centers and Lab Schools located across Tampa Bay.

Cornerstone has been a beacon of hope for children and families in the Tampa Bay region for 130 years and we can’t continue without the support of the community.  It costs $3,000 to scholarship a child and our goal is to raise at least $150,000 so that we can provide over half of the 200 scholarships needed through this event. Each scholarship makes it possible for a child to receive a full-time (5 days a week) quality early childhood education and 3 nutritious meals a day so that some of our parents can work and go to school to “earn and learn” their way out of the cycle of poverty.

Our Event

The goal of our 43rd Annual Wonder Walk Fundraiser is to raise $150,000 in early learning scholarships for the economically disadvantaged 0-5 yr. old students who attend Rosa Valdez Early Learning Centers. Therefore, this event will include several opportunities for you to give!
